The easiest (and most delicious) way to get your greens in early!
This smoothie is the easiest (and most delicious) way to get your greens in early! Plus, the combination of fiber, healthy fats and protein will be sure to keep you full until lunch.
Feel free to play around with different combinations of fruit and nut butters, but this is hands down my favorite and go-to recipe.
Why collagen peptides and what are they? Collagen is the most abundant protein in your body. It is a major component of the connective tissue that make up your tendons, ligaments, skin and bones, to name a few. Your body naturally produces collagen but the amount deteriorates as you age. Taking a supplement has been proven to have major benefits for your skin, hair and nails as well as your bone health. And lastly, collagen helps to rebuild the amino acids that make up your intestinal wall, helping to keep it impermeable to bacteria and toxins and prevent leaky gut syndrome! Plus, collagen adds a boost of protein (10-15g per serving!) without the chalky consistency that I find with most protein powders.
