Sugar Free Berry Chia Jam

A whole food, no sugar-added option to satisfy all of your nostalgic PB&J cravings


Peanut butter and jelly is my ultimate comfort food. On rice cakes, on pancakes, in smoothie form or cookies, I would eat it all day if I could. There has been such a big movement toward healthier, natural nut butters but what about the jelly?! This super easy recipe gives you a whole food, no sugar added jelly option to satisfy all of your nostalgic cravings.


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups frozen berries of your choice

  • Juice from one lemon

  • 2TBSP cup chia seeds


Directions:

  1. In a small saucepan, add frozen fruit and lemon juice

  2. As it heats, mash with a wooden spoon until you get a mushy/jam-like consistency

  3. Add chia seeds and stir

  4. Remove from heat and let stand until cool

  5. Store in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to a month
